The Utah Open Source Foundation is pleased to announce that registration for the 2008 Utah Open Source Conference is now officially open!

Those who wish to attend UTOSC 2008 should go to http://2008.utosc.com/ and select the Registration link (event registration is handled by EventBright.com). The fee for early registration for the conference is $70 and includes admission to all events during the conference’s three days (28-30 August, 2008).

Members of participating local user groups (LUGs) may qualify for a discounted early registration price of $35. To register at the discounted price, LUG members must enter a valid discount code upon registration. These discount codes may be obtained from appropriate LUG leaders and/or administrators. A list of participating LUGs is available on the UTOS site.

As part of our collaboration with the Computer Science department at Salt Lake Community College, Computer Science students qualify for free early registration. Qualifying students must provide valid discount code (available from department representatives) and also provide a valid student ID at registration.

In addition to discount registration codes, participating user groups will also be giving away certificates for free admission to UTOSC 2008! Consult with your local user group leader(s) for more information.

UTOSC 2008 is building up to be a spectacular event with several dozen excellent proposed presentations, exciting sponsorships, and fun and educational activities and entertainment, but none of it would be possible without you, the local user and supporter of open source.
