December 13th, 2006 Meeting Notes

We had another great meeting tonight despite some of us being a little spread out. Ooh the joys of conference calls!

Below is a quick update on what happened and, as always, if you’d like to contribute to the planning please let us know. There is a lot of work to be done and the clock is ticking!

  • We reviewed the Roles assigned last week and added a few more responsibilities and players.
  • We discussed the progress of the logo. Feedback is that it needs some continued revision. If you would like to offer your opinion on the current logo or the logo direction please leave a comment. You can view the logo here. General question concerning the logo is “What image represents Open Source or the Utah Open Source community?” Any suggestions?
  • Also discussed was continued work with sponsors. This is something that will need some continued focus. If you know of anyone (business or personal) that would be interested in offering sponsorship to this conference please let us know.

Below are the goals and assignments until the next meeting. Remember, due to the holidays there will not be another UTOS meeting until Jan 2, which will be held in the irc channel #utos.

Tasks:

  • Refine Roles - Everyone (ongoing)
  • Business Speakers/Workshops - Christer
  • Open Source Speakers/Workshops - Christer
  • Conference Sponsorship - Mike
  • UTOSC.org - Jayce to repoint and maintain
  • Contact Joseph Hall about Food Events at Conference - Clint/Jayce

Again, as usual, if you have something that you feel you can contribute to this conference please let any of us know. It will turn out to be a great conference for all of us, and the more input and feedback we can get from all of you the better everything will turn out.

UTOS Meeting : Dec 13 after PLUG

This is a quick reminder that this weeks UTOS meeting will be held after the PLUG meeting at the United Online offices in Orem.  Let’s continue to plan for a great conference.  Be sure to set aside time for this meeting.

Planned Team Roles Assigned : Dec 5, 2006 Meeting Minutes

We’ve had another productive meeting here at the UTOS planning committee.  The meeting lasted about an hour and a half and most of the planners were in attendance.  As always, meeting minutes are publicly available for anyone interested.  Dec 5 2006 UTOS Meeting Minutes.
